Steel Flat Bar
Manufactured via hot-rolling (±0.25mm tol.) or cold-rolling (±0.05mm tol.) with Q235B-Q355B (GB), A36/A569 (ASTM), S235JR-S355JR (EN) grades. Surface options: pickled, ground, polished for machinery and tooling. |
Our Precision Hot Rolled and Cold Drawn Steel Flat Bars(Flat Steel / Steel Strip) are manufactured from premium carbon steel billets in strict compliance with ASTM A36, EN 10058, EN 10059, and JIS G3191 standard specifications.
Extensive inventory and custom production capabilities allow us to serve machinery manufacturing, structural steel framing, grating fabrication, automotive brackets, and tooling applications worldwide. Available in both Hot Rolled (high ductility & cost balance) and Cold Drawn / Cold Rolled (tight dimensional tolerance & smooth surface finish) conditions.
Below are the detailed engineering parameters and available steel grades for our hot rolled and cold drawn steel flat bars:

· Cold Drawn Precision: Thickness tolerance controlled down to $\pm 0.03 \text{ mm}$, eliminating the need for further machining on mating surfaces.
· Excellent Flatness: Straightness controlled within $\le 1.0 \text{ mm/m}$, ensuring seamless feeding into automated laser cutting and stamping machines.
· Low Carbon Equivalent: Standard Q235B / A36 / S235JR grades feature excellent weldability ($CEV \le 0.45\%$) for preheat-free welding in structural steelwork and grating.
· Ductile Performance: Excellent cold bending capabilities for brackets, hinges, and decorative ironwork.
· Pickled & Oiled (P&O): Removes mill scale for superior coating/painting adhesion in machinery manufacturing.
· Black & Bright Finishes: Available in traditional hot-rolled mill finish or smooth bright cold-drawn finish based on structural or cosmetic requirements.
· Machinery & Tooling: Equipment bases, guide rails, jig fixtures, structural brackets, and motor mounts.
· Building Construction: Steel grating crossbars, stair treads, door/window hardware, and ornamental ironwork.
· Automotive & Transportation: Truck chassis reinforcement, trailer crossmembers, and agricultural implement parts.
To prevent bending deformation and surface rust during long-distance ocean transit, our flat bars are packaged according to strict export criteria:
· Heavy-Duty Bundling: Firmly strapped into $1.0 - 2.5 \text{ MT}$ bundles with high-tensile steel bands and protective lifting slings.
· Anti-Rust VCI Wrapping: Inner moisture-absorbing VCI plastic film and outer waterproof woven cloth packaging available upon request.
· Container Optimization: Cut precisely to 5.8m (for 20ft containers) or 11.8m (for 40ft/40HQ containers) to achieve maximum payload capacity up to 26-27 Metric Tons.
A:Hot rolled flat bars are produced at high temperatures, featuring a dark mill scale finish, higher ductility, and lower cost—ideal for structural fabrication. Cold drawn flat bars are cold-processed for smooth surface finishes, exact square edges, and strict dimensional tolerances—ideal for precision machining.
A: Our standard export length is 5.8m or 6.0m, but we offer custom length cutting from $1.0 \text{ m}$ to $12.0 \text{ m}$ according to your bill of materials.
